Hi Richard,

Thank you for sharing your experience with QuickBooks. I'll provide details about why a user experiences such a thing.

A poor internet connection is one of the causes of having slow QuickBooks. Please check out your internet speed to see if it, at least, reaches 3 Mbps. Another reason is not meeting the system requirements. Please check this article for more details:  Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?

On the other hand, you can also clear your temporary internet files to free up your browser's cache. Here's an article for your reference: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread. Take good care always.

Thanks for the reply, Jess. Internet connectivity is not an issue, ours is 5 MBS.

Our inhouse computer wizard will be back from vacation this week. She'll take a look at the problem. She's the one who converted QB Desktop to QB Online.

She's doing her best to teach this old dog new tricks.

We appreciate you for keeping us updated, @richard-tbnr-wor. I'm here to guide you to the right support so you can modify bank transactions seamlessly.

The best course of action is to contact our Customer Support team if you're still having trouble after trying my colleague's suggestions. This allows them to investigate this issue further and provide you with the best solution. Here's how to reach support:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click on Help (?).
  3. Choose either tab to proceed:
    • Assistant: Get fast, customized responses. Choose a suggested option, or type in your concern. If you've decided, you can still Talk to a human.
    • Search: Look for the QBO knowledge base directly, or choose Contact Us and select a way to connect with us:
      • Start a chat
      • Get a callback
      • Ask the community

Make sure to review their support hours to know their availability to assist.

Lastly, here's a helpful module you can browse in case you're ready to match your balances in QuickBooks: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
