Question

My credit card number changed (card got hacked, had to get a new card). My past transactions under the previous number have disappeared in QuickBooks. What do I do?

Good day, sarahmmagill.

I'll make sure that you can retrieve our missing data in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE).

It's possible that the transactions were lost because your credit card number was changed. At this point, you'll need to manually download the transactions to ensure that your books are accurate and up-to-date.

  1. Sign in to your bank website and follow the instructions on how to download your transactions as a comma-separated value (CSV) file.

       2. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon and select Imports.

       3. Hit Import older transactions.

       4. Tap Browse, then locate the file you've created previously.

      5. Review the column headers and data.

      6. Click Import and tap Continue to complete the process.

For more information, visit this page: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once done, review and categorize your transactions to put them in your accounts.

Stay in touch with us if you need further assistance finding those missing transactions in QBSE. We're always here to help.
