Question

My credit card will not sync over an 8 month period on quickbooks. It is not a sign in issue and transactions before and transactions after appear. What is the issue?

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

I recognize you need to upload transactions to QuickBooks, @groganinvestment. I can provide details concerning these banking issues.

May I know your financial institution, so I can check further if there's an error within the bank?

Furthermore, we can manually upload banking transactions using a private window and clear its cache. Sometimes browser's cache can interfere with the performance of QuickBooks Online.

Follow the steps below on how to access the incognito/private window:

  • Google Chrome Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox Shift + CTRL + P
  • Microsoft Edge Ctrl + Shift + N

Then, perform a manual update to refresh your bank connection in QuickBooks. Especially if your transactions are older than 90 days, we need to upload transactions manually into QuickBooks Online.

Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click the Bookkeeping or Banking menu and select Transactions.
  3. Go to Banking and select Update.

If you can't still get any transactions, bank errors prevent QuickBooks from downloading new transactions. To correct particular download issues from step #4, click the links below: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Your reply is our priority. Feel free to add it below if you need a resolution of the error within the Banking section. Take care.
