Question

My Etsy is connected to Quickbooks. It takes every sale and labels it as income, and also takes the weekly deposit from my Etsy to my account and labels it as income. I’m basically counting my income twice. Help!

Hello there, 2kuteparrishdesi.

We depend on what the bank sends to the system. It's possible that you manually updated the Etsy bank account that's why it downloaded the transactions twice or the bank is currently having maintenance that caused the duplicates. We can verify that by logging in to your bank's website and check if some alerts or notifications need to be taken care of and wait until it's fixed.

You can exclude the duplicate transactions at once to correct the business income. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Go to the Transactions menu.
  3. You can use the filter option to specify the dates and accounts of the transactions you'll want to exclude.
  4. Select all the transactions to be excluded and then click the Exclude icon.
  5. Click Apply.
