Question

My new bank account doesn't populate under my bank login. How do I have quickbooks "see" the new account?

The new account is present under the original bank login when I log into the bank's site.

I can certainly help you sort this out, userkatietuler.

It's my priority to make sure you're able to add your new bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Before proceeding, I've listed some things you can check to ensure you can see your financial institution on the list.

  • Your bank has multiple names on our list. You can log in to your bank website, then copy the URL, and paste it to QBO.
  •  Your bank does not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs. business accounts).
  • Your bank isn't a participating financial institution.

If you've confirmed the required details and can't still find your bank, I'd recommend sending a request to add it. Here's how:

  1. On the Connect an account page, enter your bank (i.e., name or URL).
  2. You'll get the message: Hmm, we can’t find [name of bank] in our list of supported banks.
  3. Click Still can't find your bank hyperlink.
  4. Enter your bank's website in the field provided.
  5. Tap Request

For more details about the process, please see this article: Find your Bank Account When you Connect to Online Banking.

Aside from that, you can also manually download your bank data and import them into the program. This way, you can categorize and reconcile your accounts easily.

Additionally, I've added these articles that'll help you manage your bank accounts and transactions in QBO.

Please let me know in the comments below if you have other banking-related tasks or concerns, userkatietuler. It's always my pleasure to help you out.
