My quickbooks didnt link a week of payroll

If you can see from my screen shot, a month ago Quickbooks recorded payroll which was direct deposited and the transactions are shown in my bank register also, so why didnt quickbooks link it?

No one has been able to provide answers through the chat assistant and my books remain off balance by the amount of this payroll. Please help.

When QuickBooks doesn't link your transactions from your bank feed, there are some possible reasons why it happened. 

 

  • The dollar amount in QuickBooks is different than what cleared the bank. 
  • The transaction type is different in QuickBooks than at the bank. 
  •  The transaction was recorded in a different bank account. 
  • The transaction from the bank is a payment/ deposit of two or more open transactions in QuickBooks.

 

If the details of the manually added transactions are matched with the downloaded ones and still not linking automatically, probably, this is a browser-related issue.  You can use an incognito window to check and prevent your browser from storing additional cache files that may cause QuickBooks to not perform well.

 

  • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.

 

Another way is to use compatible browsers with QuickBooks Online.
