My quickbooks stopped syncing and is just spinning looking for an update. What should I do?

Let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. To start, let's run your QBO account in private mode. The following are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N 
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser to get a clean slate. If the same thing happens you can also use other supported browsers
