Question

My Quickbooks uncategorized my transactions for the entire year. It also doubled them. Talked to them 3 times and no answer and they don't call back

Uncategorized transactions happens when a bank connection is deleted and then reconnected. This process results in the loss of previous categorization, leaving those those transactions uncategorized. Let me guide you through what you can do in this situation, mobilemagic.

But before we start, may I know what's the name of your bank? This will help us identify if there are known issue with our bank. If there's none and the bank account was intentionally disconnected-leading to uncategorized transactions upon reconnection, you can manually re-categorize them. And then, exclude those that are duplicates. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Find the transaction you want to exclude and select it to expand the view.
  3. Select the Exclude this transaction checkbox.
  4. Click Save.

Furthermore, when it's time to make tax payment, QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) calculates your federal estimated quarterly tax payment so you'll know what to pay each quarter. To know more about this, check this article for reference: Pay Federal Estimated Quarterly Taxes in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
