My reviewed Square App Transactions are no longer resulting in the "Match" option under Bank Transactions of the same dollar amount. This was working last week. Why?

It used to be the case that I would review a series of App Transactions in the Intuit Square App, and then when I would open up and review my Bank Transactions the deposits of matching dollar amounts would display the "Match" action instead of "Confirm". This has suddenly stopped working, even though I've reviewed my App Transactions in the Square integration App and verified that the App Transactions have been matched to a deposit.

What has happened? Why isn't the Bank Transactions section picking up the reviewed Square App Transactions as Matches anymore?

I'm here to offer some insight regarding the possible reasons why you are facing challenges matching your transactions. The following are some factors that unable for you to do so:

 

  • Transactions have been previously matched to another downloaded transaction.
  • Transactions were not entered using the same bank account.
  • The transaction is entered manually in QuickBooks and could have a different number, amount, date, or payee from the downloaded expenses.
  • Transactions are already reconciled.

 

Furthermore, after verifying everything, if the issue persists, you can consider reaching out to the square app's customer support team for further assistance. They will be able to provide you with relevant information on whether there are any ongoing investigations related to your issue.
