I can share with you some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue you had with your bank transactions.

 

Usually, transactions from your bank aren't downloaded into QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) due to the following reasons:

 

  • The bank is performing system maintenance. 
  • There are notifications from their website that need your attention. 

 

To isolate the issue, I recommend refreshing your bank's connection in your QBSE to display all the missing entries.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QBSE account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Bank accounts under Transactions
  4. Tap on Refresh all

 

If you're getting the same behavior, I suggest  signing in to your bank's website to check if there are alerts that need your attention.

 

Once the transactions are now successfully imported into QBSE, here's how you can categorize them.

 

Moreover, I would also be glad if you can share the name of your financial institution. This way, I can gather enough resources and check for any ongoing investigation.
