New bank account doesn't show up in linked accounts

I already have my bank linked to my quickbooks profile.  I have multiple accounts at this bank.  Today I opened a new account at the already-linked bank, but it is not showing up under the linked bank's list of accounts.  Is quickbooks able to "refresh" the account list at the already-linked bank to detect the new account?  Or will I have to remove and re-add the bank link in order to detect the new account?

I'll help you connect your account, nernessendodontics.

Before proceeding, may I know the name of your bank? Did you receive any error messages when linking it?

Normally, the bank's name will display on the list once you connect them to QuickBooks Online. Since they're missing, I'd recommend accessing the program via a private window. Doing so helps us determine if this is a browser-related issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P

Once logged in, connect the account again. If it works, let's clear the browser's cache to keep the program performing efficiently.

You can also use other supported browsers as alternatives.

If the issue persists, you can disconnect the account. Then, re-connect it.

Once resolved, you can start reviewing and categorizing your downloaded transactions to ensure you put them in the correct accounts.

Please keep us posted if you need help managing your bank transactions. We want to make sure you can connect all your accounts.
