Hello:  Now that I can set up a new banking connection to my existing BECU checking account via the new BECU Business Online Banking portal - I now have a reconciliation problem.   I have one account in my chart of accounts for the old online account connection - reconciled up until the cut over date in Oct 2021, but now I have a new account created in my chart of accounts for the new banking connection (still my same old BECU checking account).  The new connection pulled in all the transaction already reconciled via my other account - pre Oct cutover.   Help please?

Hi there, @LWGORMAN. I'm here to share with you some information on how to handle your accounts and reconciliations in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since the transactions on October 2021 were already reconciled from your old BECU account, you may exclude the entries added to your new business account to avoid duplicate records and going through the reconciliation process again.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click on Banking or Transactions at the left pane.
  3. Within the Banking tab, tick all transactions you want to remove.
  4. Tap on Exclude.

You may also review this link for more tips about the process: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.

Moving forward, if you have multiple accounts, you may select to either connect the parent or the subaccounts to download your transactions accordingly. If you wish to download the transactions to one account, connect the parent account. If the transactions download to the individual accounts, connect the subaccounts and not the parent one.

For more information, check out this article: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.
