Question

On Friday I was able to categorize banking transaction using products and services and by Saturday the drop down for products and service was no longer available.

Sometimes, changes in the user interface can be due to browser cache issues. As of now, I can guide you on troubleshooting your browser to ensure it runs with QuickBooks efficiently. Let's start with accessing QuickBooks Online using incognito mode or a private window. Here are the shortcut keys to go private mode in a browser:

 

For Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge / Opera:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + N

For Firefox:
 

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mac: Command ⌘ + Shift + P

For Safari:
 

  • Shift + Command ⌘ + N

 

If this works, you can proceed to clear your browser's cache and cookies. Otherwise, you can also use other supported browsers to ensure it runs QBO efficiently.

 

After categorizing your bank transactions, you can consider reconciling them to match accurately with your bank statement.

Thanks for the update, however clearing the browser data did not solve the problem, nor did attempting to open in incognito mode.

Also Edge, and Firefox did not solve this issue.
