Hello there, @RidinDirty.

Let me assist you in fixing your issue with QuickBooks.

You can perform basic troubleshooting to see if it's a browser issue or not. This way, you can clear the outdated file that causes a small problem with your bank feeds. Please open your QuickBooks via a private browser.

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Then, check your QuickBooks Balance if it's showing already. If you're able to do so without any errors, you can switch back to the main browser to clear the cache. You can also try using other browsers to isolate browser-related issues.

I've also added an article to help you download your bank transactions manually in QuickBooks Online.

If you have other concerns, please don't hesitate to leave a message in the comment section. I'll be happier to help. Take care, and have a great day.

After recording transactions the balances displayed on the chart of accounts are not correct.

This is occurring more and more frequently. I am concerned about the integrity of the database as this error seems to be frequent.

The condition is repaired by running Verify Data but that should not have to be done.

I’m here to ensure balances displayed on your Chart of Accounts are accurate, @BILLG5.

I can see the inconvenience you’ve currently experienced. Have you encountered any error message before and after recording transactions?

Incorrect information is sometimes caused by damage data. We can perform additional troubleshooting steps to get this fixed. Running QuickBooks File Doctor from the QuickBooks Tools Hub helps resolved your concern immediately.

Since your company file has been rebuilt, you'll want to restore the backup made before the rebuild. If you're unsure where the backup file is located, refer to display hidden files and folders or search for files using Windows for guidance in searching for .qbb file on your computer. Once done, we can proceed to these processes below but make sure your QuickBooks account is closed before using the tool hub. Here's how:

  1. Download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub and save it where you can easily find it.
  2. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  3. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  4. Double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool.

After the installation, please continue with these steps:

  1. Click the Company File Issues tab from the tool hub.
  2. Select Run QuickBooks File Doctor.
  3. Click your company file from the drop-down menu in QuickBooks File Doctor.
  4. Select Check your file (middle option only) and then Continue.
  5. Enter your QuickBooks admin password and then click Next.

Depending on your file size, it takes up to 5 minutes. You can open your company file once the scan is finished. Then check the balance on your COA.

I would recommend creating a backup of your company file after the issue is fixed. That way, you can restore it anytime in case unexpected circumstances happen.

Please let me know how it goes or if you have any follow-up questions about balances in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help. Just leave a comment below.

I have the same problem - on the transaction page it no longer displays both balances.  You can see them both on the home page.  This is NOT in the register itself, but in the view of all the accounts at the top.

This is not a problem with my accounts that have not been updated to the new view.

This is not a browser issue.  This is a change with the new "updated" format.
