Hello and Help!

I use QB online

My local bank was bought out by another, so had to update and connect to new website.

The only way to connect was to unconnect from old bank, and that website is no longer available.

SORRY---THIS IS THE REST OF MY POST!

When I select the checking account that I want to connect, it takes me to another account that I do not want to connect and will not show the one I do want to connect.
I have done this several times over a few days, no change. The bank is looking into it also, but to me it looks like I must have done something wrong in QB.  The bank states I am the only one with QB online having this issue.

I'll take any advice anyone has!

Thank you!

Thank you for providing additional details about your concern with online banking, shopgirl.

In most cases, missing banks can happen if your bank has multiple names on our list. To ensure you find the correct listing, make sure you have selected the right option or try all possible links.

You can search using the banking sign-in URL to ensure accuracy. Here are some recommendations to help you find the missing account:

  • Verify the spelling. Make sure the spelling is exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to search for your bank. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Search for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card."Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

If you still can't see the missing account, you may need to switch to a different browser or open an incognito/private browsing session. Sometimes, excessive cache and other browser-related issues can affect how the program functions.

Here are some steps you can follow:

  1. Open your browser and click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select "New Incognito Window" or "New Private Window" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Log in to your QBO account in the new window.

Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge are also compatible with QBO.

Once you have logged in, check if you can see the missing account. Then, return to your original browser and clear the cache. For instructions, you can refer to this article: Clear Cache and Cookies to Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online

Thank you so much! I will try all of these and then post to let you know if any work.

The bank info is correct, as it is working for the other accounts.

I am currently using Chrome, and it did connect the other accounts.

Thank you!

Keep the ideas coming!
