Price hike from $0.50 per transaction to $10 per transaction overnight!

We recently as of April 26th, 2021 have begun being charged $10 per transaction for a customer to pay us via bank transfer. It went up from .50 cents to $10 per transaction overnight.

We called all of the numbers and pressed all of the buttons, transferred 3 times, had to tell them the same story over and over, and then find out that we were talking to the wrong department and it was her first day, then was given a number that I called to talk to the payment dept and every option goes to nothing and then hangs up on you as they tell you that the phone system is having issues. How convenient. We went online and did the support ticket to have them call, they called and the call hung up (we never got to speak with anyone).

Meanwhile, The principal of the company just wasted 3 of my billable hours to contact QB online in search of answers, only to get lost in a phone tree, talk to half a dozen people, and got no results. Do they really care about us power users?

Why am I being charged $10 per transaction?

I want a refund, and after this experience, I am thinking of taking all bookkeeping to another platform. It is obvious to me that QB online will not help you with an issue in my opinion (from many calls of experience). This is a sad day.

Is anyone else having these issues?

It is their new policy to accept ACH payment. You may consider using another payment processors to accept ACH for free or a lower fee and integrate it with your QBO.

Thanks for your info and comments.

Those are the 2 departments that the phone number wasn't working and it bounced me out and hung up on me saying that the connection was having an issue. I honestly don't have time to deal with these types of issues. I am running a company, trying to be profitable, but I also have to be the one on the phone because they want to speak with the "owner" of the company.

In my opinion, The support staff needs to be better trained and calls need to be answered faster. If this was an emergency I would be in bad shape (commenting on a forum praying someone responds, because I still haven't gotten an actual call back from support).

It killed 3 hours of my billable time today and only now I am being told that the $9.50 per transaction hike was just because and I am just supposed to be ok with it. I am not ok with it, and I was not notified that I am aware of.

What other 3rd party solutions are out there that are cheaper so that we don't have to be strong-armed into paying this outrageous price per transaction?
