Question

Problems adding a Chase credit card account. When I try to add it, it says the card is already connected. But it's not showing in the account section.

I can see my old Chase card accounts, but not the new one.

    Hello, Michael. 

     

    I'd be glad to help you out in adding your new Chase card account in Self-Employed. 

     

    Since the new card is already connected, we can refresh the cards list in Self-Employed to see the new one. 

     

    Let's go to the Gear icon menu, then select Connect bank. On the page, we'll want to click on the Refresh all button to refresh the list and see all of the card accounts. 

     

    However if you're still not seeing the new card, then a cache issue is likely preventing it from appearing on the list. In this case, we'll want to confirm this by using an incognito window: 

     

    • Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
    • Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
    • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P.

     

    Log in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, then check the new card. When it appears correctly, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache (this article points to QuickBooks Online but it can also work for Self-Employed. After clearing, simply close out any browser instances to complete the process. 

     

    Alternatively, we can use another supported browser to see the new card account in Self-Employed. 

     

    After getting the new card account in, we can start categorizing the new records for your Self-Employed account.

    Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I have tried everything you suggested--refreshing my accounts, trying an incognito window, and trying another type of browser. However, my new Chase card ending in 7980 does not display. When I try to add an account, it tells me the card account is already connected to my QuickBooks account, but it is not displaying. Any help would be appreciated.

    Since those didn't work for you, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Care Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment, check what's causing these issues, and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this fix.

    1. Go to the Assistant menu in your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.
    2. Type Talk to a human.
    3. Select either Message an agent or Get a callback.
