Hi there, belleleallc-gmai.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. I'll share details on how importing entries works in QuickBooks Online. Then, I'll ensure you can upload your bank transactions in QBO smoothly.

It could be there are formatting issues in your file and that's why the system says keeps saying it can't upload bank transactions. That being said, I suggest checking the file format and making sure that your file doesn’t break the following formatting limitations:

  • Special characters are not allowed.
  • Zeros (0) are not allowed anywhere in the file.
  • Correct any transactions that display an amount in the Description column.
  • Remove the word amount if it appears in the name of the Credit or Debit column.
  • MAC  users must save the file as a Windows CSV file.
  • Correct and standardize the Date format to a single format (for example, dd/mm/yyyy).
  • Some banks provide the day of the week and include it in the Date column (for example, 20/11/2018 TUE in column A) which is not an acceptable format. To correct this, split the date and the day of the week in two separate columns.

For additional information, you can open this article that you can check on: How to import bank transactions using Excel CSV files.

Also, please keep in mind that the maximum file size is 350 KB. If the file is too large, reduce the date range and download transactions in smaller batches. Then, go to this article to learn how to manually import your entries and review them to avoid double transactions: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, you may refer to this artilcle to view instructions on how to reconcile your accounts to avoid discrepancies: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

As always, you can add a comment below if you have further questions about uploading transactions in QuickBooks Online. I’d be happy to answer it for you, belleleallc-gmai. Have a great day!
