Question

QB Online won't let me add several transactions. It keeps telling me to select an account for the transaction even when I've selected an account. What do I do?

The transactions are all from the same company and this is only for my PayPal account. I've never had a problem adding transactions before, including in my PayPal account.

I understand that this situation may have been disruptive, and I want to assure you that I'm here to ensure you'll be included in the list of affected users.

 

We have a newly open investigation about an error to "Select an account for a transaction". Our product engineers are presently working on a solution. I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support team to ensure that you are added to the list of affected users and to receive updates once the solution is in place.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Click the Search tab.
  3. Press Contact Us at the bottom part. 
  4. Enter your concern in the What can we help you with? box.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Select Chat with us or Have us call you.

 

Once fixed, you can categorize them and put them into their appropriate account to ensure accurate financial reporting.

 

Furthermore, reconcile the account to ensure the accuracy and completeness of your financial records.
