QBO Banking Link with Truist Small Business Credit Card

We have been using QBO for over 2 years now and I have been trying to get my Truist small business credit cards linked (unsuccessfully) this whole time. I periodically try this every couple months. My bank account has always linked just fine, but I cannot for the life of me get the credit cards linked. I can't even really find bank option that would apply for this. Considering Truist is a large bank it seems like this should be available, but I cannot find it. I am not able to log into this account on my checking login, rather it is from the url: truist.fdecs.com.

 

There are subaccounts, an there should be a control account yet Truist keeps telling me there isn't one, which makes no sense but I am not sure if this is the issue. If I need to connect a control account, not the subaccounts separately.

 

Has anyone experienced this? Any advice?

I recognize you'd want to link your Truist Small Business Credit Card account with QuickBooks Online, @lcrowe1. I'm here to guide you through the process.

 

When searching for your bank using their URL, make sure to check on the following:

 

  • Verify the spelling. Make sure the spelling is exactly as it appears on your bank's website.
  • Use very specific names to search for your bank. If you still can't find anything, try broader names like "Citi."
  • Enter your bank's URL into the search. For example, search for "hsbc.com." for HSBC.
  • Search for the name of the issuing bank, meaning the bank that issued your bank card. You can find the issuing bank's name on the back of your card."Chase," "HSBC," or "Bank of America" should work, but "Visa" may be too generic.

 

Since Truist Bank isn't currently supported to connect with QBO, I suggest sending a request for your financial institution to be added to the program. I'll show how it's done:

 

  1. Open the Banking menu.
  2. Click on Link account.
  3. Enter your bank's URL website in the search bar.
  4. If you get this message "Hmm, we can’t find truist.fdecs.com in our list of supported banks.", click on the Request button.

 

That's it! Once your FI is available, you can manually import a CSV file of your bank transactions.
