Question

QBO won't let me reconcile bank account, it wants me to connect to bank. I don't want to.

How can I get the reconcile window. I don't want to connect my bank account online.

I'll make sure you'll be able to reconcile your account, @heazim1.

 

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can reconcile your account that isn't connected to online banking. I'll show you how.

 

Before we proceed, did you receive any prompt messages when reconciling your account? If so, can you share them with me? This way, I can gather more information about it and provide the fix. Any additional details are much appreciated.

 

Once you're ready, here's how to reconcile your account:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Reconcile.
  2. Select Get started if you're reconciling for the first time.
  3. From the Account drop-down menu, select the account you want to reconcile. Ensure it's the same one on your statement.
  4. Review the Beginning balance.
  5. Enter the Ending balance and Ending date on your statement.
  6. Select Start reconciling.
  7. Start with the first transaction on your statement and find the same transaction in the Reconciliation window.
  8. Compare the two transactions. If they match, put a checkmark next to the amount.
