Question

QuickBooks Checking Account Bank feed not working

My client has a QuickBooks Checking account and the bank feed has not updated since Jan 18. This is when the NEW feature for QuickBooks Checking appeared in the Account and Settings section so I'm wondering if something has changed due to the NEW feature.
The bank feed tries to update and reverts to a green check mark, but the new transactions don't show in the bank feed. I've tried various ways to get it connected again (incognito browser etc) but it won't connect.

Is anyone else having this problem or have suggestions on what to do?

Thanks for the reply. There is no error message at all. The account updates, goes to a green check mark (as if it did), but the updated date remains as 01/18/2024. On the Dashboard, the Business Overview shows with the red exclamation mark as 'Needs attention'. If you click there, it goes to the bank feed, briefly shows the orange warning "something's wrong' but that immediately disappears ( even thought I don't update).

The client told me that they have tried signing in to the bank account again (twice last week). I tried clearing my cache and cookies and will do that again but I can't see any obvious solution to this. The client has tried the same

I appreciate your time posting here in the Community, Karen.

I want to ensure your QuickBooks checking account bank feed will be fixed. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.

There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. They can also open an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference for running reports to view useful info about your business and employees, you can check out this article for more guidance: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

I am having this same issue for about 3 months.  I bank with Capital One.  I called them and they informed me that they made security upgrades and QBO likely does not meet their security requirements.  So I have to relink to my accounts every time I want to pull in transactions and update my books.  One of these vendors will be getting FIRED.  I have not decided if it is QBO or Capital One yet.   When you call support they each blame the other vendor.  So frustrating.  And with continually increasing pricing with QBO I am tempted to fire them!
