Quickbooks Checking not working in Safari and Apple apps-- cannot send checks or use Bill Pay

Just made the change from QB Desktop (Mac) to QB Online and started a QB Checking account to take advantage of the immediate deposits.  I have tried probably over 50 times to send a check or use Bill Pay from my QB Checking account on my Mac (on Safari-- my default browser), on my iPhone and iPad in the QB app and it doesn't work .  A new window opens and 4 blue circles keep spinning and nothing happens. Can stay like that indefinitely.  Tried it on my Mac through Chrome, though, and it worked.  Anyone else having issues using their Quickbooks Checking account in the QB iOS apps or in Safari?

The whole idea of switching to QB Online (other than Intuit basically forcing us to!) was so I can access my QB company data from any device, but if I can't use this checking account in their own app then what's the point.  I do not want to be a prisoner to Chrome or to my laptop.

TIA!

Hello there, @pelvicore. This isn't the kind of experience we want you to have using QuickBooks Checking in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps and reset your app data so you can send a check or use Bill Pay from your QuickBooks Checking account via Safari browser on Mac and Apple (QBO mobile) app.

You may have a browser cache-related issue on Safari, and your QBO app is full of cache. That's why you're unable to send a check or use Bill Pay from your QuickBooks Checking using them.

To fix this, you can perform some troubleshooting steps and clear your app data to refresh the system and remove the older files that cause the issue.

Start by pulling up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser (incognito). Here's how:

  • Control Option (Safari)

Once signed in, go ahead and select the Pay a bill option to pay bills using your QuickBooks Checking account. You can also refer to this article for the complete guide: Use your QuickBooks Checking account.

If you're able to do so, return to your default browser and clear its cache. This will refresh the system and remove older data that causes viewing and performance issues. However, if this matter continues, I'd recommend using other supported browsers.

After that, clear your QBO app data. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Menu icon at the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Choose Help & Feedback.
  3. Select Refresh Data and Refresh.

Once you're done, open your QBO app to pay your bills using your QuickBooks Checking account.

In case the issue persists, I'd recommend uninstalling (tap and hold the app icon) and reinstalling the app. This is to ensure the version you'll be using is updated.

I'm all ears if there's anything else you need or concerns about using your QuickBooks Checking account in QBO. Comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @pelvicore.
