Hello there, @throw31shoes. I hope you're doing well.

I'd like to provide you with the correct information. However, I still need extra details so I can check more and relevant resources about your concern.

  • What's your bank's name?
  • Did you get error messages? If yes, please include the exact error message here.

Though, I'd still include the possible reasons you're having trouble getting your bank transactions in QBO. It could be that the bank is performing system maintenance. Also, there may be notifications from their website that need your attention.

We can sign in to your bank's website to review if there are alerts that need your attention. Once signed in, perform the following steps:

  1. Review your account page for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Check your bank’s website for any announcements.

If the same thing happens, we can update your bank information, like your username or password. This will refresh the connection:

  1. Go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab.
  3. Select the Edit ✎ icon in the tile for the bank account you want to update.
  4. Select Edit sign-in info.
  5. Update your account info.
  6. Then, click the Save and connect button.

If it persists, you can manually upload the bank transactions using the CSV file to continue bringing them to QuickBooks. First, download transactions from your bank by logging in to your bank's website. Then, follow the given instructions on how to download transactions and save the file on your desktop or anywhere you can easily find it.

Once done, upload them to your book by following these steps:

  1. Sign to your QBO account and select Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click Link account drop-down arrow.
  3. Select Upload from file. Then, click the file you've saved on your computer.

You can use these articles as additional reference in fixing bank upload errors, categorizing transactions after imported them, and the reconciliation workflow in QBO:

I'll be around if you need more help with bank data in QuickBooks. I'll do my best to help you more. Take care always.

Thank you for your reply! I have already updated all of my banking information I have no error messages and I am currently getting feed from my bank I have all the statements from June until current date but for some reason I have a huge gap before June of this year until November of the previous year that’s why it wasn’t really making sense to me because I am currently logged in and received an update from my bank it shows like 10 hours ago now from the current stuff. Yes I do know how to do manual upload but that’s eight months of statements and that is going to take me over an hour for each account And those are hours I really didn’t have to work on this so I was trying to figure out how to get them to sync with my bank without having to do that manually. Is there any other option I have besides the manual upload?

@throw31shoes

Have you tried the app as I mentioned earlier?

@throw31shoes

Another option, utilize the trial version of SlickConnect to import your past transactions. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed.
