Question

Quickbooks is denying my application. I'm a legitimate registered business. I try to search Squareup.com to connect my business account it shows it's non existent.

I applied 18 times to get the business account. It denies me. Why? Also when I go to connect squareup.com as my business bank it's nowhere to be found.

We've received similar issues from other users regarding connecting QuickBooks Online (QBO) with Squareup.com. As this could be a temporary browser problem, let's initially perform browser troubleshooting options.

I suggest accessing your QBO account through your browser's incognito mode. Here's how:

Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: Command + Shift + N

After logging in to your account through incognito mode, connect Square and QBO once again. If this works, proceed to clear your browser's cache. This process will remove and fix specific issues and help the program run optimally. Additionally, you can use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

If you continue to experience the same problem, I encourage contacting our Support Team to add you to the list of affected users. This way, you'll be notified as soon as our Product Engineers fix the issue. Here's how you can contact them:

1. In your QBO account, go to Help (?).

2. Select either of these tabs:

Assistant tab and type Talk to a human.
Search tab and click on Contact us to connect with a support expert.

3. Choose how you want to reach us (phone or chat).

I had spoken to their customer service representative. He said in order to not be denied I have to pay for a subscription, to be approved for the business checking account and to connect my squareup.com business bank account. Currently I'm on the free plan so it's restricted to using all the features that I dont need. Taxes is once a year, and I have a private CPA that manages my taxes. As far as I'm concerned I was transferring to quickbooks because I was looking for something better. It seems I have to pay to use this service, if I knew that beforehand I wouldn't be complaining here. I wouldn't switch to this platform. But hey I'm gonna keep using squareup because they didn't deny me anything, they approved my business checking account. And best of all ITS FREE! I dont need to pay a subscription.
