Hi all -

Once a month is reconciled in QB online - is there a way that it can be "opened back up" to fix mistakes?

PLEASE SAY YES :)

You can definitely unreconcile a previous period if you need to make some changes, Shamrock3.

You just need to change the status of each transaction in your bank register. I'd be glad to share these steps with you:

  1. Open the bank register
  2. Find the transaction. If the transaction is reconciled, you’ll see an “R” in the checkmark ✔ column.
  3. Proceed to the checkmark column, then select or click the box with the “R” until the box is blank. This removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Repeat the same process for the rest of the transactions.

Once done, proceed to making the changes and reconcile the account once again. You can also read more details about this process in this article: Undo or Remove Transactions From Reconciliations in QuickBooks Online.
