Reconciling Credit Card Statement

I am reconciling my credit card statement.  I have entered the correct amounts to begin reconciling and also verified each transaction and matched them.  BUT...I have several transactions that are showing up in Quickbooks that are not reported on my credit card statement.  My quickbooks will not reconcile with a zero balance.
How do I move forward or solve this?

Thank you in advance,

Reconciling credit card accounts can be a bit complex. Let me help you get this fixed, @Amy0695

If there are transactions in QuickBooks that are not reflected on your credit card statement, you may need to investigate further to identify the source of the discrepancy. Here are a few steps you can take to address this issue:

  1. Review Transactions: Double-check the transactions in QuickBooks to ensure that they are all legitimate and should be included in your reconciliation.
  2. Check Dates: Verify that the dates of the transactions in QuickBooks align with the statement period of your credit card statement. It's possible that some transactions fall outside of the statement period.
  3. Missing Transactions: If there are transactions in QuickBooks that are not on your credit card statement, you may need to investigate why they are there. It's possible that they were entered in error or belong to a different account.

I've also included a few detailed resources about reconciling accounts which may come in handy moving forward:
