Reconnecting credit card accounts

I have a client who has a Chase credit card account with multiple cards under the account.  Recently the main (parent) card was hacked and needed to be replaced.  We are able to connect the new main card to Quickbooks online but the other cards will not reconnect.  When we try we are getting a message that the cards are already connected to a parent card.  How do we fix this?

The error you receive occurs when trying to link both the parent account and its subaccounts, bookkeeping61.

In QuickBooks Online, the option to connect both the parent account and its subaccounts is currently unavailable. Attempting to do so will cause an issue, as shown in the image below:

To determine if connecting the other cards is necessary, please coordinate with your financial institution to understand how your transactions are pulled up. You only have to link the main card if it downloads to one account. Otherwise, disconnect it and connect its subaccounts instead.

Once income and expenses are automatically downloaded, make sure to categorize them for accurate reporting and tax calculation. You may automate this process using bank rules.
