It's great to see a new member in the Community, @nancylitton.

I appreciate your patience in figuring out how to connect your bank account to QuickBooks. I'm here to help you resolve this connection issue.

If you didn't receive any error messages, try signing in to your bank website to check if everything is working on their end. Then, manually update your bank connection to get the latest available transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Click Update.

You can also try some basic troubleshooting steps to narrow down the problem. The stored-up cache in your browser can cause connection issues between your bank's website and QuickBooks. Begin by logging into your QBO account in a private or incognito window. Please see the list of shortcut keys below:

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

We'll go ahead to the Banking menu again. If you connect without issues, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies to start over fresh. Alternatively, you can switch to other supported browsers.

Furthermore, learn how to exclude duplicate transactions in the Banking menu. If the data is unnecessary, follow this article for the detailed steps: Exclude a bank transaction you downloaded into QuickBooks Online.
