Hi, I got a notice that I need to update my bank feed connection to my Chase credit card account, and I tried following the directions posted here (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/bank-connectivity/refresh-connection-express-web-connect-online/L29kw7xd7_US_en_US), but I can't find "Chase Bank (ALL) – New" as a choice when I search for banks.

Hello, JonL.

I understand how you feel and the importance of using the enhanced Express Web Connect to keep track of your financial transactions.

You're on the right track in preparing QuickBooks to switch to Express Web Connect. However, you'll see the option for Chase Bank (ALL) – New this coming 9/27/2022. This is the reason why even after updating and restarting QuickBooks it doesn't come up.

Please keep in mind that Chase Bank and all affiliate banks are required for account reconnection on the above-mentioned date. These are the list of affiliate banks:

  • First USA
  • CardMember Services
  • Bank One

When the time comes, you can refer to this article to walk you through the entire process: Switch from direct connect to express web connect online banking.

Do you require help in matching transactions in QuickBooks? If so, consider this resource for additional information: Add and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you need further assistance in QuickBooks, don't hesitate to post again. We're happy to help you.

Hi Giovann,

I have been currently using Web Express

Currently Intuit  has on their link:

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/bank-connectivity/refresh-connection-express-web-connect-online/L29kw7xd7_US_en_US

States:

Account reconnection required:

  • Capital One by 4/30/22
  • Discover by 6/30/22
  • Chase Bank and these affiliate banks by 9/27/2022 Note: all are now Chase Bank (ALL) – New
    • First USA
    • CardMember Services
    • Bank One

Instead they should perhaps state:

  • Capital One by 4/30/22
  • Discover by 6/30/22
  • Chase Bank and these affiliate banks ON or AFTER  9/27/2022 Note: all will be under Chase Bank (ALL) – New *
    • First USA
    • CardMember Services
    • Bank One

* Note: Chase Bank (ALL) – New will show upon on 9/27/2022.  We recommend that you update your Quicken Files now.  Note even if you update now, the choice of Chase Bank (ALL) – New will not show up after updating and restarting QuickBooks until that date of 9/27/2022.

Because people are proactively following the instructions given and cannot find the option Chase Bank (ALL) – New

Also note that the Message that people are getting are "Capital One Bank Feeds Require Your Attentions" for their Chase Accounts.  When it should say Chase Bank, First USA , CardMember Services  and or Bank One

Thank You

Hello @klgood1,

Thank you for letting us know about the result you're having on your end when updating the account. I can help you update your bank feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.

There are steps you need to perform before following the recommendation you receive on updating the account. Please update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.

Aside from improving the performance of the software, this process also fixes common and complicated errors automatically, as well as updates information in bank feeds.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help tab in the upper-right corner, then select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Go to the Update Now tab.
  3. Select the updates you want to include.
  4. Put a checkmark on the box beside Reset Update.
  5. Hit Get UpdatesDownload and install automatic QuickBooks Desktop updates
  6. Close and re-open QuickBooks.

Also, the Desktop version supports switching between three different bank modes. For more information about how each mode displays and handles transactions in your Bank Feeds differently, please visit this article: Switch between banking modes.

Let me know if the bank is still unavailable from the list, and we'll be sure to get back to you. Have a great day.

The Update Process for Quickbook Desktop 2020 is cumbersome.

In order to Restart, you have to click on the little red ! which opens the message which says restart Quickbooks however the button to Restart is hidden.  You have to maximize the pop window to restart it.

Even after updating and restarting,  When you type Chase, the option of Chase Bank (ALL) – New does not come up.
