Question

Requested payment by bank transfer and client paid. I've been charged transaction fee, but it shows on hold, being reviewed. His account was debited. Why am I not paid?

I can share information about on-hold payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO), tydodge2.

When you notice a recent payment you accepted is on hold and being reviewed, don't worry. This means we need to review the payment to ensure everything is correct to protect the interests of all parties involved. You'll receive an email with detailed instructions on what additional information is needed to complete our review. This will take 2-3 business days for the review to be completed.

Please read through this article for more information: Understanding Payment Holds

You can check your deposit speed from QBO or the Merchant Service Center. If you don't use QuickBooks Online, check your speed in the Merchant Service Center:

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. Select Transactions.
  3. If you see “Withheld” in the METHOD column, it means that the payment is on hold and we’re reviewing it.

If the funds are still on hold for a longer period, I recommend connecting with our Payments Support Team for further assistance. They can guide you in determining the details of the transaction and help you with your deposits.
