Returning inventory purchased on debit card

I know how to sort out the returned purchased items into your debit cards, RockConsult. I'm here to guide you through the process for a seamless experience.

We can record a Bill Credit for the returned items. Then, create a bank deposit for the same amount to your checking account. 

Here's how to enter the bill:

1. Go to the Vendors menu and select Enter Bills.
2. Select the Credit radio button to account for the return.
3. Click the name of the Vendor. 
4. Select the Items tab and enter the returned items.
5. Click Save & Close.

Since you have received the returned items in your checking account, we can record a bank deposit and use Accounts Payable (A/P) to link it to the bill credit. Then, link both transactions through Pay Bills. 

Here's how to make a deposit:

1. Go to the Banking menu and select Make Deposits.
2. In the Payments to Deposit window, select OK.
3. Select your checking account from the Deposit To drop-down in the Make Deposits window.
4. Enter the refund amount in the Amount column.
5. Select Save & Close.
