Strange error when categorizing transactions

Strange error when categorizing transactions. An error message window appears and immediately disappears. And so with all transactions. That is, this is not my mistake during the process, but rather a software error of Quickbooks.

    @userespiryakova  Well, it wouldn't be the first QB error, and I doubt it'll be the last.

     

    In any case, it may help if you say which QB version you are working with, and whether anything is actually happening aside from a message instantly disappearing.

    • What version of QuickBooks Online are you using? (e.g., Simple Start, Essentials, Plus)
    • Can you capture what the error message says? (A screenshot or typing out the exact wording would be super helpful!)
    • Can you confirm that the transactions are not getting categorized at all? (Just want to make sure I understand correctly.)

     

    In the meantime, a quick thing to try is using a private browser window. This can help us rule out any website hiccups. You can open a private window using these shortcuts:

     

    • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
    • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
    • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
    • Safari: Command + Shift + N

     

    Once you're in a private window, log into QuickBooks and see if the error still pops up. If it goes away, clearing your browser's cache might do the trick!
