Terminal Download Tool error??

I have Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022.  I just downloaded the newest version.  When I go to Banking and then Make Merchant Service Deposits, I get a message that says "Unable to create Terminal Download Tool".  I click ok.  I then receive the message Unable to create Terminal Download Tool event handler.  I click ok.  And it never loads the page.  Any ideas how to fix this?

I will help you fix the error so you can successfully make a merchant service deposit in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Let us begin by ensuring your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is the most recent release to fix the issue you are experiencing. Verify that you are using the most current release.

 

To acquire the most recent features and updates, you may now manually upgrade QuickBooks Desktop by following the instructions below.

 

  1. Search for QuickBooks Desktop. Right-click the icon and select Run as administrator.
  2. From the No Company Open screen, go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Click the Options tab and select Mark All and then choose Save.
  4. Go to the Update Now tab and select the Reset Update checkbox.
  5. Click Get Updates.

 

For the modifications to take effect, restart your computer. 

 

If you already have the same error, I recommend downloading and installing the QuickBooks Tools Hub. This type of utility can help fix errors on the desktop program.

 

Before launching the tool, make sure QuickBooks is closed. When ready, go ahead and download it.

 

Here is how:

 

  1. Download the QuickBooks Tool hub.
  2. Open and install the downloaded file.
  3. On the QuickBooks Tool app, select Program Problems.
  4. Click Quick Fix my Program.
