I have a business bank account that got disconnected, because of a connection error, around 12 months ago (Nov 2022). I still see the latest entries in the Chart of Accounts for that bank account. How can I safely:
1. Reconnect that account again
2. Download the transactions from the time the account was disconnected without duplication of entries
3. Perform the reconciliation

Hello, @ashish.aggarwal.

Welcome to the community. I'll be here to assist you with your concerns. Let's help each other to sort this out.

To reconnect your bank account again, I'll be providing you some simple steps that can help. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions
  2. In the Link account dropdown, select Manage connections.
  3. To connect, select the bank you want to use and then toggle on the account you wish to link.
  4. Enable now after reviewing the prompt. Connect to desired account.
  5. To pull transactions, choose a date from the dropdown and click on Next.
  6. Select your account type on the Account type dropdown, then click Next.

To download transactions without duplication from the time the account was disconnected, you need to connect the account again and make sure to select a date to pull transactions from the dropdown menu, then select Next. Some banks let you download the last 90 days of transactions. Others can go back as far as 24 months. You can manually upload the transactions that aren't covered and if there are duplicates, make sure to exclude them.

Also in reconciling your account, you can do it in a monthly basis.
