Question

The payee in the transactions will not take. When entering the bank activity from the banks I select a payee but it will not take it.

I'd be more than happy to help you with adding a new payee.

 

I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no records of subscribers reporting that they can't create a new payee for your bank.

 

I tested this myself in my test drive account and was able to add a new payee both ways. 

 

It's possible that you're experiencing a browser-related issue. We can perform troubleshooting steps to fix it. 

 

You can clear cache to boost the web page. Some stored data on your browser can impact the data being transmitted, that's the reason as to why it's showing some unusual behavior.

 

Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

If you're able to add a new one, it's safe to say your browser's causing this issue. You can fix it by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.

 

I'm also adding this link to help you categorize and match Bank Feed transactions in QuickBooks Online. After you categorize your transactions, you can now reconcile your account.
