Question

There is a 5 month gap during 2021 during which my credit card transactions do not appear. Any idea why that might be?

The transactions appear perfectly for 7months, and then from 7/5/21-12/5/21 nothing shows up, and then it continues normally from 12/5 on. Any ideas?

Hi there.

I appreciate you reaching out to us. Let me share some troubleshooting steps to ensure your bank transactions are downloaded into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

We can start by reviewing them on the Transactions page. Apply the filters, including the date, account, and saved entries. See this screenshot for your reference:

Then, you can try to locate the missing transactions by logging in to a different browser or using a private window. If it wasn't there or the bank feeds did not sync, you can run a manual update to your bank account. This will help recover the transactions that were not imported and resulted in an incorrect bank balance. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Connect Bank.
  3. Click Refresh All.

If the issue persists, you'll want to import the missing bank transactions using a spreadsheet. Please refer to the steps outlined in this article: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

However, if you have already categorized the missing transactions, I suggest getting in touch with our Technical Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and investigate what's causing this bank transaction issue.

Please notify me by adding a comment below if you have any other follow-up questions about missing bank transactions in QBSE. I'm always here to help. Have a good one!
