Question

Transactions downloading into wrong account

I have two bank accounts with the same bank. Account A is a client trust account and Account B is a main business account. On January 11, Quickbooks stopped connecting to my bank. I waited since usually this resolves in a few days. 16 days later, Quickbooks finally connected to my accounts again, but showed Account A's balance for Account B and vice versa. With great difficulty, I disconnected both accounts and reconnected them and they now show the correct balances, but Account A is downloading transactions from Account B.

In the first round of correcting this, Account A downloaded all of its own transactions and also 22 Account B transactions. Account B downloaded 40 of of its own 41 transactions and no Account A transactions. So I excluded all the transactions downloaded erroneously into Account A from Account B and manually uploaded the one missing Account B transaction and let it go for a few more days.

Today, upon checking again, Account A downloaded all three of Account B's transactions (there were no Account A transactions made at all during this period) and Account B downloaded nothing at all. I disconnected and reconnected the accounts again and the problem persists.

This is a massive loss of functionality from how Quickbooks was working before. It was convenient to track transactions when they were downloaded automatically. Now, not only are they not downloading automatically, they are downloading incorrectly requiring double correction--first deleting them from one account and then adding them to the other. There is no indication as to why this is happening. The data are completely correct in the bank's online system. Quickbooks has simply connected the accounts wrong and it needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
