Transfers/uncleared transactions

Hello,

I use QuickBooks Online. I had to transfer a deposit transaction from "quickbooks checking" to my "Chase Bank" The transaction in my Chase Bank register does not show "Cleared" but it does show "Cleared" in my Quickbooks Checking. It already cleared the bank so I manually cleared it but my books are still off the exact transfer amount. Please Help! Thank you in advance!

Hello there, Brittanyxo1. 

 

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'm here to help you sort this out. 

 

In QuickBooks Online, the transactions are downloaded automatically from your bank. We can exclude and delete the duplicate transactions to correct it.  

 

I'll guide you on how to Exclude the Transactions:  

 

  1. From Banking, select the specific bank, and then under For Review tab. 
  2. Tick the transactions you want to exclude, then under Batch actions then drop-down arrow and then Exclude selected. 
  3. Select the Excluded tab and checkbox the transactions you want to delete.
  4. From Batch actions drop-down and select Delete.  
  5. A message will pop up asking Are you sure? These transactions will not be recoverable, and then Select Yes. 

Once transactions excluded, these items are no longer reported as part of your business finances and will not appear in any associated account registers or reports.

    HI LollyNino_C,

     

    Thanks for the info! I actually deleted the transaction all together then re-entered the transaction and recorded as a transfer. Then I manually cleared it. The balance is correct now! I always have a tough time with QB checking and transfers. Thanks again!
