Unable to figure out how to connect Solopreneur to American Express Business Credit Card & Checking (US).

The Directions on QB.com say to Search for one of the following accounts depending on your American Express account user type: If you’re the primary account holder: Search for and select American Express Business Credit Card & Checking (US). If you’re a delegate user on a card account: Search for and select American Express (Delegate). Yet the first option they want you to search for isn't even an option they list to choose from. How do you link your account if you are the only account holder of an AmEx Checking account to QB? Very frustrating this isn't a hard task!

I know how this can be confusing when linking an account, and I completely understand your frustration @fleurishplantcare.Based on what I've tested myself, I also can't locate the American Express Business Credit Card & Checking (US) when attempting to link an account.

As a workaround, please visit the website of your bank to verify the correct URL for the primary account holder. It’s possible that the URL for the primary holder has been updated, leading to the issue you're experiencing while trying to link the account.

On the other hand, you can manually import your transaction while working with the connection of your bank.

    Here's how:

    1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then choose Bank Transaction.
    2. Select the Link account▼ dropdown, then select Upload from file.
    3. Click the Drag and Drop or Select Files and choose the file you have previously downloaded from your bank, then select Continue.
    4. From the QuickBooks account dropdown menu, choose the specific account you want to transfer the transactions into, then click Continue.
    5. Complete the onscreen instructions to align the columns from your file to the appropriate fields in QuickBooks, then click Continue.
    6. Select the transactions you wish to import, and then click Continue.
    7. Click Yes, then hit Done.

Once your bank is linked with QuickBooks, you might notice duplicate transactions due to both manual imports and bank connections. To prevent redundancy, you have the option to exclude these duplicates from the transactions downloaded from your bank.
