I've had the error in payment settings under direct deposit "Oops, we're having a little trouble processing your info. If you continue seeing this message, please try again shortly."

I’ve got your back in adding your bank account information in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), ready. This way, you can get and review your client’s direct deposit checks.

There are details that I want to confirm in connecting your bank account. Thus, would you mind telling me what financial institutions are connected with?

In the meantime, I suggest that we perform some troubleshooting steps. By doing this, we can identify and eliminate common errors that might be causing issues. This will help us resolve any problems and improve the overall performance of the application.

To open an incognito window, you can follow these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

Once done, you can start clearing your cache, but please take note to only clear the cache, not the cookies. Then, log in to your QBO and initiate a connection.

Once resolved, you can check out this helpful resource to keep you guided in setting up a bank account for direct deposits. The complete details are established on the As the contractor receiving direct deposits dropdown: Get direct deposits from your clients in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, keep your transactions categorized each time you add them in QuickBooks. Your self-employed business can be organized in terms of income and expenses, allowing you to determine the most impactful areas: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I encourage you to post back to this thread if you need further assistance with setting up bank accounts. This is to ensure you get your financial institution connected to your account and start receiving your direct deposits. I’m always here to help. Take care!

Hi there, ready.

I'm here to provide further troubleshooting steps to address the error message you encountered while attempting to enter your bank details.

In some cases, the app may produce unexpected results due to an excessive amount of data. You can address this by clearing the QuickBooks Self-Employed app's cache.

Here's how:

  1.  Tap the Menu at the bottom
  2. Click on Help & Feedback
  3. Then select Refresh Data and Refresh.

To clear cache in your phone settings:

  1. From your phone's Settings, choose Settings
  2. Click on General and choose iPhone Storage
  3. Select an app that's taking up a lot of space.
  4. To free up the Storage without deleting the documents and data for the app, select Offload App.

Let's also ensure your operating system is updated and you meet or exceed the System Requirements.

If the problem persists, I would recommend contacting our QBSE Support experts to access your account and provide further assistance with adding your bank account information on your behalf.

Additionally, you can assign categories to the transactions downloaded from your bank to ensure they are allocated correctly on the relevant line of your Schedule CCategorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
