Under transactions I have some deposits but once I catarogaize them, they do not show up on my p and l

Let me share some insights on how to filter your P&L report to see the expense transactions.  

You can follow these steps: 

1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online. 
2. Go to Reports, then Profit and Loss report. 
3. Select Customize
4. On the Customize report window, set Accounting Method to how you want the income/expense reported.
5. When you're ready, select Run report.
