Update bank URL and/or merge accounts

BECU updated its business checking URL. I haven't been able to update the URL for my existing account, I've only been able to link a new account using the new BECU link. How can I update the URL on my existing business checking account so that I don't have duplicates and don't have to start categorizing all of my transactions again for the past 5 years? Maybe that's not possible? Do I merge the old one into the new one and delete 5 years of duplicated transactions in the new account? I referenced the following 2 articles and still can't get it figured out. Please help. :)

I can help you with updating your online banking account for BECU, @susanpalmerwood. 

 

In order not to recategorize those five years' worth of transactions, you can merge these two bank accounts. To perform this, you must disconnect the old banking account. Make sure to categorize all the uncategorized transactions, so I'll not be removed or deleted.

 

To guide you further in reviewing and categorizing your bank transactions from your For review tab, check out this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

Once done, disconnect the online banking account associated with your old account. See this article for more information: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online. It will show you how to disconnect the account from the Banking or Transactions page.

 

From here, you can now merge these accounts. Refer to this article on how to handle the account that you will and won't keep: Merge duplicate accounts, customers, and vendors in QuickBooks Online.
