Question

Upload CSV file of transactions function repeatedly failing in Quickbooks Self-Employed. How do I fix this?

Each time I select the file and click "Open" it returns a message "Oops file failed to load (probably our fault). Please try again in a few minutes. If it still doesn't work you will probably need to contact us." No chat assistant or other helpful contact method available. Can anyone here help me solve this?

You can use the trial version of csv2qbo converter tool to isolate the problem.

We appreciate you providing the error you received, yarrow.

It's indeed essential to upload your transactions in the program to keep your record accurate in QuickBooks Self-Employed. With this, I'll share some steps to help you overcome the error when importing your CSV files.

Usually, this error occurs due to incorrect mapping or formatting. Hence, I recommend reviewing your CSV file to ensure it follows the format accepted by QuickBooks.

You can create a 3-column or 4-column format with the help of this article: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

However, utilize a private browser if the issue persists to prevent corrupted cache file discrepancies by refreshing the website's preferences. You can proceed to these keyboard shortcuts depending on your browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

Once done, clear the cache on your regular browser. Also, please note about the system-supported browser for the best and most secure experience.

On the other hand, you can connect with our support if you need further assistance every Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Moreover, you might want to review this material for guidance on organizing your transactions accordingly: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
