Vehicle purchase

I purchased a new company vehicle with money wired from one of our bank accounts.  Can someone please tell me how to record the transaction in to Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022?  I have contacted Quickbooks directly THREE times and not a single person there knows how to do this!  Thank you.

Hello,

 

I assume from your question that you paid in full for the new vehicle purchased for the company.  Write a check from the bank account that was used to pay for the vehicle, in the check number field enter WIRE, enter date, pay to the order of company vehicle purchased from, enter amount.  Under account (you should have an fixed asset account for auto & equipment or a similar account name) use this in the account field and enter the amount.  This will record the payment for the vehicle out of the appropriate checking account and enter the vehicle on your Balance Sheet under auto & equipment.
