Question

Venmo is not connecting with my QBSE. It was fine for half the year but has stopped and will not reconnect. Is there a fix?

Welcome to the community, Suzil.

I’m here to help you fix the connection between your Venmo and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

First, kindly check on Venmo’s end to see if there's a maintenance issue that affects the connection between your QBSE account. If there's none, let’s proceed with performing troubleshooting steps in your QBSE account.

Start by logging in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account using a private or incognito browser.

You can use these keyboard shortcuts below:

  1. Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  2. Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  3. Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  4. Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

From there, check if the connection between your Venmo and QBSE has been associated. If it works, go back to your regular browser and log in again.

Furthermore, check this article if you want to learn about categorizing transactions that have been downloaded in your QBSE account: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Hit the Reply button if you have more questions about your Venmo account connected to QBSE. I’ll be here to assist at any time.
