Question

We had two deposits grouped together as one transaction, but we need the seperated for accounting purposes. How do I seperate deposits that were grouped together?

Hello there, Blake.

I'd be happy to help you sort out those grouped deposits in your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

I'll walk you through the steps.

  1. Click the Transactions tab on the left-hand side menu.
  2. Locate the transaction that has deposits grouped.
  3. Click on the Split button next to it.
  4. In the Split transaction window, click the Add line button to separate it. Double-check to make sure the amounts and dates are correct.
  5. Click on Save.

The following steps will assist you with your accounting needs promptly.

In addition, I'm adding this article on how to categorize your transactions each time you add them to QuickBooks for future reference:  Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to provide more details or clarification on separating grouped deposits in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
