Hello there, melis. Thank you for letting us know about this concern. Let me share some information regarding bill payments and bank fees in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When paying a bill in QBO, you may encounter fees that are charged for various reasons. These fees can be associated with payment processing costs, such as transaction fees for different payment methods like ACH or check payments.

It's important to note that QuickBooks may deduct these fees from the deposit account immediately after the payment is processed. If the payment transaction is downloaded to your associated bank account in QuickBooks, you can have the option to split the transaction in the For Review tab.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab and select Bank Transactions.
  2. From the For Review tab, select the specific payment.
  3. Click the Split Transaction beside the Category dropdown.
  4. Enter the main payment on the first line and the bank fee amount on the second line.
  5. Select the correct Category on the dropdown.
  6. Click Apply and Confirm.

Furthermore, you can check out this article to learn how to reconcile your accounts, so they always match your bank and credit card statements: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be around in case you need further assistance with split payment or any QuickBooks-related queries. I'm here to lend a hand. Keep safe.
