We migrated from desktop ver 2019 Premier Non-Profit. Our credit cards were A/P entries & in QBO they are Credit Card entries. We have overlap now, aren't sure how to fix

Hello, @andream-sosrespo.

I understand you are confused about the different terms while moving QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. I'm here to share some details.

When you transfer from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, you may recognize changes in the appearance of your books. Don't worry, I'll explain how.

QuickBooks Online copies the data from QuickBooks Desktop. They differ in terms, but the concept of recording is the same. Such as Credit card charges in QBDT converted to expenses in QBO.

For further details, check out this article: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, we can change the reconciled transactions, like changing their category or description. Changing anything other than the amount and account on a given transaction will not affect its reconciliation status.

Here's how:

1. Click Accounting from the left menu, then select Chart of Accounts.

2. Find the bank account from the list and click View register.

3. Locate and select the transaction you want to change, then hit Edit

4. Change the category or description, then click Save

5. Click Yes to confirm the changes.

6. Repeat the steps for the rest of the transactions you want to edit.

In addition, if you have issues with your opening balances, you can learn how to fix them by reading this article: Fix an opening balance to match a bank statement.
