What do I do when not all bank transactions download properly

Most transactions appear to have downloaded, but I know for sure two gas station transactions (that I can see on  my Chase transaction list) did not download to QB, but everything else did

If your bank transactions didn't all download properly in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @bigfoototaz. I've got a solution to help you fix it. Let me guide you through the process. 

First off, please note that if the two gas stations transactions are past ones, some banks permit QuickBooks to download for up to a number of days. Also, there could be  an issue with your bank connection at the time when the transactions are downloaded to your QBSE, causing some entries to be missing. 
 

Meanwhile, you can manually update the connection of your bank to see if the missing entries appear after a refresh. Here's how to do it:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Manage accounts.
3. Click Refresh all.

Once done, navigate back to the Transactions menu to verify whether the missing transactions are now visible. 

Alternatively, if the transactions still aren't showing up, you can manually import them using a CSV file. 

Moreover, it's important to categorize once your downloaded transactions are in to ensure that your financial records are accurate.

I have completed the redownload/refresh transactions option for my bank accounts as well as the QuickBooks application multiple times over the last week or so.  The missing transaction is NOT there, although I can see it in my transaction list from my actual bank app.  This date for the transaction is only in the last 3 weeks, so it should be fine.  I am concerned that there are more transactions missing, and have not been discovered due to lack of receipt to track.  This rather defeats my faith in the app being accurate.  That's my biggest concern going forward.

I'll share some details on why some of your bank transactions are missing, and I'll help you upload them into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

 

Beforehand, please note that the syncing of bank transactions in QBSE will depend on your credit card. Thus, you can sign in to Chase’s website to check if there is any ongoing issue on their end.

 

On the other hand, I suggest reviewing them on the Transactions page. Make sure to apply the accurate filters, including the closest date, account, and saved entries.

 

If you can't still see those transactions, your browser may be causing the problem. In this case, I suggest locating your missing transactions through an incognito window to confirm if it's a browser-related issue. Use the following shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

Once you're in incognito mode, manually refresh the connection again and make sure the filters are correct. Kindly review your transactions. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. You can also use another supported browser as an alternative.
